4 Ways to Keep Your Face Hydrated

There are so many ways to keep your face and body hydrated during the cooler drier months (sometimes it’s cooler rather than drier depending on what area of the world you live in) and everyone has their favorite ways to keep their skin looking it’s best year round. In this post, I’m sharing 4 Ways to Keep Your Face Hydrated.

Water. water. water…

Now you’d think this would be the easiest tip to follow, but if you love your tea, coffee or lattes, drinking just plain water can sometimes be a bit of an issue. One thing that might help is to always make sure to have water with you (I always have a small bottle in my bag at all times.) and I also keep a glass or bottle of water on my nightstand at home and my desk at work. You’ve also probably heard about those bottles that will actually remind you when its time to hydrate. Remember the more water you drink the better your skin will look.

Face Mist…

If you’re looking for something unscented, then the Avene Thermal Spring Water is definitely what you’re looking for. It’s make with Thermal Spring Water and can be either ordered online or picked up from your local Walgreens. I tried it for the first time back when I was getting the subscription boxes from Birchbox, and I’ve been using it ever since.

I’d also recommend the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray that is also 100% Fragrance Free as is a way to add hydration back into your skin. You can also purchase Moisture Surge in a gel-cream.

Face/Sheet Mask…

This is my absolute favorite way to give my skin some much needed TLC. While I normally only use a sheet mask once a week during the warmer months, I like to use one at least twice a week during the drier Winter months. There are so many masks out there to choose from that will do a variety of wonderful things for your skin, but I tend to to go between the Water Replenishment Mask and Pore Minimalist. I also love the Soothing Rescue Cream Mask from The Body Shop in Aloe. It’s feels wonderful on your skin. (Plus you can also use it as first aid on burns or cuts!)

Since I don’t sheet mask everyday, I have a few go-to lotions that I like to use to keep my face from getting dried out. When my skin needs some serious hydration I like to use either Water Drop from Dr. Jart+ as has many of the same properties of the masks. To make sure that you’re getting everything you can from your moisturizer it’s a good idea 1… Start off with a freshly washed face. 2… Apply your favorite toner 3… Apply your moisturizer at least 30 minutes before going to bed to most won’t end up on your pillow instead of soaking into your skin.

So those are my 4 Ways to Keep Your Face Hydrated. Do you have a favorite product or products you like to use to keep your skin hydrated? Let me know in the comments below.
