On Saturday evening, we headed over to the Shain Gallery to see Josh Brown’s Solo Show. This time, however, I was even more excited than I usually am, because I had the opportunity to interview the artist himself in the weeks leading up to the show.
We arrived at the gallery early so I could take pictures of the paintings before all the guests arrived and I had a chance to decide on my favorites.
Shortly after Josh arrived, I finally got to meet him in person and take a picture too.
We also had the opportunity to talk with him about his new Encaustic paintings and the process involved.
As the gallery started to fill up, we looked around a little more before walking across the way to Nolen’s Kitchen, our dinner destination.
It wasn’t hard to decide what I wanted. If grilled Salmon is on the menu, I’m going to try it.
Mom and Jane went with the spinach pie and Greek salad, while Mike tried the gnocchi.
It was an amazing evening filled with art and good food. Just the way I like to spend my Saturday evenings.
Didn’t get a chance to check out Josh’s Solo Show on Saturday? You can still drop by the Shain Gallery and check out Josh’s paintings. I know I’m look forward to the day when we can add some of his paintings to our art collection.
