Brunch + Mani/Pedi

This past Saturday we needed a relaxation day. January proved to a pretty stressful month, so we needed some time to decompress. Our plans for the day? Brunch and then mani/pedi’s, because nothing says relaxation more than a little pampering time.

Our brunch destination for the day was the City Tavern. In the past we’ve always just picked up burgers and such, but today we decided to check out their brunch scene. Imagine our surprise that we were the only patrons when we first arrived.

Mum went with the omelet.

I decided go with something not on the brunch menu... because I really love their turkey burgers.

After a few errands in between (because when you have some time to kill you must take care of necessities.) We went to the newly renovated Starbucks in Baxter for our much needed Chai Tea Latte fix.

Oh. my. Yum!

Saturday marked by first ever manicure. I love getting pedicures, but I decided why not try a manicure?

I was only out of the spa for 2 seconds before I put the first scratch in my nails. Just ‘love’ how klutzy I can be sometimes! Oh, well. Here’s hoping the manicure can at least survive through the next few days.

Wish I could do manicures but putting nail polish on always messes them up and makes them peel. It’s a bummer! Plus it doesn’t work so well for someone who likes to garden and put their hands in the dirt. 😉
