On Saturday night we went to the last night of festivities in Davidson. We’d thought about going before, but this was the first year that we made it. Our plans for the evening? Dinner at Kindred, of course. Then a carriage ride and some hot chocolate… because it was definitely a chilly night.
We’d only eaten lunch at Kindred before, so we were quite excited to try out the place for dinner. Let me apologize in advance for the low quality of these photos… the lighting was not optimal for the ol’ iPhone.
Sharing several dishes for the evening meal is encouraged… so we decided on what we wanted while mum enjoyed some of their legendary Milk Bread. (Obviously, that would be a big no-no for dairy intolerant me…)
After dinner we head out onto Main St. to check out the other festivities.
After walking to other end of Main St we located the carriage ride booth where you could enjoy cotton candy and pretzels while you waited…
We selected the closest available time and then walking around some more while we waited. (Despite the fact that I’d worn the wrong boots for the day, keeping moving was a good way not to think about the chilly air!)
While on our carriage ride we went under this massive American flag.
Since the lines were out the door at all the places in town offering hot chocolate for sell, we decided to hit up our local Starbucks on the way back home.
Hope you enjoyed our visit to Christmas in Davidson.
