As I’ve probably mentioned before I’m currently working on writing my third spy novel which revolves around CIA Agent Nicholas Caine. Since my life keeps me pretty busy it’s hard to find time both to work on writing my novel as well as reading novels by others, but when I saw these two books through Good Reads, I knew I had to add them to the stack of books currently on my ‘To Read’ list.
Newport by Jill Morrow is due to be released on July 7th. (Can you believe it’s already July and we’ll be celebrating Independence Day tomorrow?)
Here’s a snippet of the description from Goodreads.
Following in the steps of Beatriz Williams and Amor Towles, this richly atmospheric, spellbinding novel transports readers to the dazzling, glamorous world of Newport during the Roaring Twenties and to a mansion filled with secrets as a debonair lawyer must separate truth from deception.
Sounds good right? I’m really looking forward to this one.
Next up is The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy E. Reichert. It’s not due to be released until late July, but I’m looking forward to reading this novel that is described as a You Got Mail meets How to Eat a Cupcake.
The novel centers around Lou, who is struggling to make her French restaurant a success even as her personal life is falling to pieces.
Well, those are two of the novels on my current Summer Reading list. I’d love to hear what books are on yours!
