Congrats, Sybil!

I was so excited to received the news yesterday that Sybil Godwin is now the new owner of the Shain Gallery. We’ve so enjoyed chatting with Sybil during both openings of art exhibitions at the Shain and our independent art crawls on the Saturdays.

Sybil is a Charlotte native (as she mentioned in a recent interview here on the blog) and has previously served as Gallery Manager at Anne Irwin Fine Art and Assistant Manager at the Madison Gallery both located in Atlanta, Georgia. She came to the Shain Gallery in February of 2013.

I am so happy to hand the reins to Sybil,” said Founder Gabrielle (Gaby) Shain. “She has an exceptional knowledge of, and excellent track record with, the art world, and Sybil will continue to apply her discerning eye and a truly distinctive perspective. With nearly 15 years of experience at some of the best art galleries in the Southeast, she is the right person to take the gallery into this exciting new chapter. – Shain Gallery
