I’m definitely one of those readers who judges a book by it’s cover. From the moment I read about this latest release by ‘Water for Elephant’s’ author Sara Gruen I couldn’t wait to find out what this book was about.
This book takes place during WWII, and the heroine finds herself far from her life of privilege. After enduring a tragic lost, she must find a new purpose for her life in a small village located in the Scottish Highlands.
So, I’m only a few pages in so far, but I can already tell that this is going to be an interesting read. Perhaps on my upcoming vacation at the beginning of May, I can make some progress with this one.
I’m also not embarrassed to admit I’ve also downloaded the audiobook. One way or the other I will get this book ‘read.’
