Duy Huynh’s Latest Exhibition Arrives at the Lark & Key Gallery

Earlier this month a new exhibition opened up at the Lark & Key Gallery and Boutique located in Charlotte’s historic South end. One of the reasons we were really looking forward to seeing this exhibition was because it featured work by Vietnamese born artist Duy Huynh.

The title of the exhibition is Confluence and it features paintings by Duy Huynh and pottery pieces by Julie Covington. Duy also collaborated with Julie to feature pieces with embellishments featuring his imagery for this exhibition which can be seen around the gallery.

I just love the whimsical and serene nature of Duy’s paintings. You can really feel the emotions, most especially in Branches for Second Chances and in Two Hearts, Seven Seas & One Wish.

Lark & Key
You purchase both originals from the current exhibition and prints at the Lark & Key.

My favorite piece from the show was ‘Tide Together’. I just love it when a painting just ‘speaks’ to you. If you are in the Charlotte area, or if you’re planning a visit, the exhibition can be viewed now through October 28th.

Interview with the artist, Duy Huynh coming Friday!
