Getting Ready for Sweater Weather

Although the temperatures are still quite warm here in the Carolina’s, I’ve been on the look out for new sweaters to add my collection for weeks now. As much as I don’t like the idea of wearing heavy coats during the winter months, I have to admit that I love sweater weather and there are so many options this year. I’m loving the sweaters with belled or tied cuffs, and the ruffled sleeve look that I’ve been seeing at many of my favorite shops.

Here are some of my favorite picks that I’ve come across so far, that will be just at home in my wardrobe as I’m sure they will be in yours.

Irit Tiered Ruffle Sleeve Pullover | Francesca’s

I’ve seen several sweaters with this tiered ruffle sleeve look, but this is by far my favorite. It comes in both this pretty shade of rose as well as ivory, and at $44 you can afford to get both if deciding between them turns out to be an impossibly hard decision. (wink! wink!)

Della Tiered Ruffle Cardigan | Francesca’s

If you’re looking for a sweater to wear over your fall dresses or with jeans when your running errands around town, you can get the ruffled/flirty look you’re going for with this cardigan.

Stripes Du Cap Ferrat | Kiel James Patrick

Stripes are always a good idea regardless of the season, and this sweater from Kiel James Patrick will keep you looking both fashionable and nautical at the same time. I’m also loving this J Crew Factory option that’s more budget friendly, I also love the ruffle cuff detail.

Striped Ruffle Cuff Sweater | J Crew Factory

I absolutely adore the cuff details on this next sweater from J Crew. Plus you can either wear the sleeves loose, or pinched with the drawstring details.

Merino V-neck sweater with drawstring sleeves | J Crew

This next sweater has both a V neck (perfect for adding a bit of statement jewelry to dress up your look) and has ruffle details at both the sleeves and at the bottom, giving the whole sweater a feminine look to love.

Ribbed Cashmere Peplum Sweater | Talbots

Tunics are one of my favorite go-to’s during both the Fall and Winter months. They are perfect for layering… just add a tank of long sleeves top underneath if it’s cooler our, or pop on your coat for those seriously chilly days.

Cuffed-Sleeve Turtleneck | Anthropologie

Now for a more budget friendly option, you can go with this Cowl Neck Tunic by Halogen available from Nordstrom.
