Guest Post: The Needlework Finisher

Welcome to the first guest post from The Needlework Finisher. In this post I’ll be the ‘writer’ while my mum shows of one off her many ‘talents.’

With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, it seemed fitting to show off this piece designed by Barbara Bergsten Designs.

The first step of starting any needlework piece is the fibers. Note: Not only does she use the fibers to stitch the project, it’s also used to make the twist cord.

The threads.

First we add some green… then some gold.

Every stitch completed.

Now it’s time to pick out the fun details.

Everything is all picked out. Now it's time to get it finished.

… and now for the finished project.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from The Needlework Finisher.
