Happy 4th of July!

This year we started our Independence Day celebrations a day ahead. Mum had gone to see the Charlotte Symphony play in Symphony Park several years ago and this year we got a little group together and got a hotel room to view the evenings festivities and have a little party of our own.

I stepped out every once in a while to get some pictures of the symphony even though we could hear it very well from our room.

Sounds like a great way to spend a Friday evening. Since Mark and I don’t do well handling crowds, I’ll have to consider that sometime as a way to enjoy some of those concerts in the park. 🙂
