Hello from… Savannah, Georgia

My sister and bro-in-law headed down to Savannah, Georgia for a little relaxation. So I caught up with them to see what their favorite experiences where while they were in the coastal city.

1| Where did you stay while in Savannah? Would you recommend it to others? We stayed at the Bohemian Hotel. The restaurant (Rocks on the River) on the bottom floor was delicious and opened up onto River Street… Which was great for people watching!

2| What are some of the restaurants you dined at, and which one was your favorite? As we are recent vegetarians, that limited our choices somewhat. Probably the best meal we had there was the black eyed pea burger at Kayak Kafe. We also enjoyed all the sides off the buffet at Lady and Sons… The ooey gooey butter cake was to die for.

3| What was the favorite place you visited while on your trip? We bought a guide book and did a self guided self narrated walk through all the squares and other historic sites. Also, the avenue of trees leading to worsmloe was beautiful.

4| What are some of must see sights for someone planning a trip to Savannah? Shop wise: Savannah bee company on river street and the nourish boutique (exquisite smelling soaps and bath bombs.) And then going to city market at night for live music and people watching.

I love that avenue of Spanish moss covered trees. I could just sit in a chair on that road for an entire day and relax. 🙂
