Holiday Tapas Party

Getting together with family and friends is one of the things I so enjoy about the Christmas season. It’s not just about opening presents, although I love to give them, but about spending some quality time with those you care about the very most.

This year marked the second holiday tapas party we’ve given to celebrate the Christmas holiday. We’d been thinking out our holiday spread for weeks, making the lists of all the things we’d need and hoping that we’d have enough food. (We had plenty and then some.)

Our lovely wreath from Ballard Designs that we dressed up with silver and gold ornaments and polka-dot ribbon.
This year we went with a small rosemary tree.

Since the weather was unseasonably warm, which should no longer be a surprise given how many years we’ve been living in the South. We set up everything in the kitchen, but took our plates outside to enjoy the warmer weather and sunshine.

The full spread…

More delicious pictures…

We used these lovely plates and napkins that I gifted to mum along with my grandparents the day before.

After opening presents (so excited about my gifts my sister and brother in law purchased for me from Eataly!) we had some of the delicious desserts we’d prepared (with the exception of the macarons) and played a game of Last Will. Mum won.

Cheesecake Pudding, Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting topped with crushed peppermint and macarons.
