I’m always on the lookout for new face masks to try out, and have heard so many great things about the Saturday Skin brand available through Peach & Lily. So, I settled on two masks from the brand that were named Teen Vogue’s Beauty Game Changers of 2016.
When it comes to face masks, one of the most important things to me is that there is no artificial fragrances added. Another of the many good attributes of the masks by Saturday Skin is there are no parabens, sulfates or artificial colors and all of their products are dermatologist tested. They also are at a good price point at $6 per mask, so if you go with one face mask a week you’re not going to break your skincare bank.
The first mask that I tried out was the Quench Intense Hydration Mask. The Hyaluronic acid in this mask works along with Watermelon and Aloe to hydrate dry skin and a mask that works for all skin types including my sensitive skin. (For those of you who might not be into the whole idea of a mask smelling of watermelon, my sensitive nose didn’t really notice the slightest scent of watermelon, and the scent of the mask in general was very mild.)
I usually apply my mask in the bathroom over the sink, as masks often have quite alot of moisture going on, as they obviously should. This mask has two sides to peel off, but I pulled off just the side that would be directly against my skin, and left on the front layer to ‘lock in’ more of the hydration. Once I apply my masks I typically head back to my bedroom for a Instagram time during the 20 minutes you’re supposed to leave the mask on, then it’s back to the bathroom to remove the mask.
I don’t know about you, but having hydrated, dewey skin is what I look forward to the most when I use KBeauty masks like this Spotlight Brightening Mask. There’s nothing like giving your face the ultimate pick me up after a long week has left it looking a little on the dull side. This masks is made with bilberry, licorice and lotus extracts that work together to hydrate and brighten dull skin and also helps rid your skin of any dark areas.
Another factor to love about this mask is that you can also use it before you do your morning routine, and according the Peach & Lily team you might not have to add any makeup to your skin period!
What I loved about these two masks: While the remaining serum from many of the masks I’ve used in the past seems to sit on my face for awhile, the serum that was left after removing the mask soaked in quickly leaving my face feeling soft and oh, so happy. I’m definitely a Saturday Skin girl!
