Luciano’s & Shain | Artsy Saturday

It’s been quite a while since we’ve been to our favorite art gallery in Charlotte, so on Saturday we thought why not embrace the unseasonably warm weather and head towards Uptown to enjoy a little lunch and see some art.

After making a few stops, we headed to Luciano’s, our favorite Italian eatery in the Charlotte area for a much needed lunch break. We usually have the place to ourselves, but there were quite a few people who had a taste for Italian that day.

Cobb Salad for mum.

While mum had briefly considered trying something new (like one of their delicious brick oven pizzas) she decided to go with her usual Cobb Salad… When you know what you like, you know what you like.

I on the other hand have been working my way through the menu deciding what items will and won’t work with my food allergies. This time, the Chicken Marsala was the dish I decided to try.

I decided to give the Chicken Marsala a try. The chicken was delicious, but next time I think I’ll have the marsala on the side as I like my noodles a little more on the drier side.

From Luciano’s we headed over to Selwyn Ave. to the Shain Gallery to check out their latest paintings, which included some new work from Christy Kinard. I absolutely love the first piece that I’m sharing below. As I mentioned in recent weeks, I’ve been working on redoing my bedroom, and this piece would definitely be at home in my room.

I absolutely adore this piece, don’t you?
