Welcome to Neverland!
This movie is a a re-imagining of the classic, J.M. Barrie tale and introduces the amazingly talented Levi Miller as the title character of Pan.
The story starts of with Pan being left on the steps of an orphanage by his mother. She leaves with him a necklace and a letter.
The story then flashes forward to WWII where Pan is grown into a young boy run by stern nuns. When he and his friend discover that two boys go missing every night from the orphanage, they decide to investigate Mother Barnabas’ office.
This is where the excitement truly begins. Pan soon finds himself whisked off to the mysterious Neverland where he is put to work mining for fairy stones by infamous Blackbeard.
After a series of events, Pan learns that he is a fairy prince and he is meant to save his people and Neverland itself.
While this is a movie meant for children, I think it’s also enjoyable to those of us who still consider ourselves to be a child at heart.
