Pinehurst, NC | Day-Trip

This past Saturday, we went up to Pinehurst, North Carolina. My sister was in town, so the trip was the beginning of her birthday festivities… because you only turn 30 once…

First stop… Starbucks. (Because why wouldn’t you start of your day that way?)

Now for a little about Pinehurst. It’s know as the Cradle of American Golf and is home to the historic Pinehurst Resort (well known by golf lovers.)

When we arrived in Pinehurst, the first thing we did was head over to Theo’s Taverna, a Greek restaurant that both my mum and sister had tried several times before.

We had the place to ourselves... at first.

Now for the main course…

Unfortunately, what I had for my main course was not as much a fan of me as I was of it…

After lunch we did some walking around. First we stopped by a shop selling Luxury Italian Leather Handbags, unfortunately no pictures, or petting allowed. (Insert frown here, because let me tell you these bags were the most beautiful (and insanely expensive) I’ve ever seen, and I literally wanted all of them.)

The Pinehurst Olive Oil Company was our next stop…

… followed by a bedding store, where I saw this lovely soap.

… after a drive over to the Pinehurst Resort, it was time to start heading back to Charlotte…

I have to say I really like the scenery on our trip back to Charlotte, than on the way there. We saw a lot more green, and to by surprise, a Llama walking out of a corn field!

All in all, we each agreed that the best part of the trip was stopping by our favorite Dean and Deluca location to pick up dinner on the way back…
