Project Hope: Memory Wire Bracelets

Recently I was able to take part in a project for a local children’s home… and it was a lot of fun. You’d be surprised what a simple piece of jewelry can do to bring a little happiness.

The project was simple, and memory wire bracelets are quite easy to make… so I thought I’d do a little how to.

1) Pick your seed beads…

Size 6 Seed Bead Mixes 1) Lavender/Green 2) Mermaid Mix

2) Cut memory wire (I used 4 loops here, but you can go with more or less if you know the size wrist of your recipient) and make a rosary loop at one end.

3) Select your embellishments.

Get your embellishments together.

Smaller silver or gold beads can also be added in for a little something. I used groups of three of these.

4) Start adding your beads. (The design is really up to you, whether you want to do a pattern, exact amount of beads in between embellishments…)

5) Once your beads/embellishments are strung, create another rosary loop to finish.

All done.

I love the idea of inspirational jewelry. I’m currently working on a project to donate handmade inspirational greeting cards to foster kids, but I love the jewelry idea too. Thanks for sharing. I’m sure whoever gets those will love it!
