Saturday in Ballantyne…

So this post is a little late, it’s practically the weekend again (thank goodness!) but here it is. Last Saturday, March 16th, we headed over to the Ballantyne/Rea Rd area. Since it was still a little early for lunch we decided to stop in this adorable boutique first.

I knew I had to have that necklace.

It was originally $36, but thanks to my iphone I got it for $30

Yes, I have a very serious thing for pink… although you are always guaranteed to hear me say that lavender is still my favorite… along with goldenrod yellow!

Now after our little fashion breeze in, it was time to move onto Dean and Deluca for some lunch…

First I had to decide what I was going to have... it was a bit on the cool side out still, so soup and sandwich were the finally decisions...

I have to get some pink salt one of these days... perhaps when I attend the Spice 101 class in a few weeks?

The chicken noodle soup is immense and don't even get me started with the sandwich... grilled chicken, goat cheese, spinach, mayo and tomato yumminess!

So as I’m sure you guessed with my mention of the iced chai soy latte where we were headed next? Starbucks…

Loved the font on this sign...
Loved the font on this sign… and the beverages don’t look too bad either.
I really liked the feel of this Starbucks, it had a cozy seating area as well as a great table for a larger group...

They even had something for furry friends... kinda wish I had Lexi with me. She would have loved the treats!

We drove around to scope out some future culinary places to visit before heading back towards home… one last stop to make though… a quick run into Harris Teeter…

Saw these beauties on the way in... remember my newest affinity for yellow?

Okay, so I wasn't thinking about veggies when I got dressed... but there the eggplants and parsnips were... and I just couldn't help myself. Good match right?

So it was a fun day in Ballantyne… can’t wait till my next adventure whether it’s around town or out of town! Stay tuned…
