Selwyn and Providence

This Saturday signaled the return of our fun Saturdays. So, how better to spend it then in one of favorite areas of Charlotte at some of our favorite places!

First up brunch at Reid’s Market. We were surprised to find that we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

One of the seating areas.

Originally I was planning on a salad, but then changed my mind when I saw a Salmon BLT. (Next time I’m going to have them hold the bacon.) While we waited for our sandwiches, we did a little browsing and shopping too.

Now for our brunch. Warning: These images may make your mouth water.

Next up, time to head over to Providence to visit Bead, Inc. (previously known as On a String.) Armed with a coupon (they are moving to a new locale in late February) I was prepared to scan the beads, and be very careful not to walk out with the entire shop.

Now for a quick look at what I walked away with. I was a very good girl.

Pretty fun items to ‘play’ with right? I can’t wait to start thinking up designs to incorporate them. Stay tuned to my Etsy shop for new listings.

Now onto our last stop. Pasta and Provisions. (If you’ve read any of the posts on my foodie blog, you’ll know this in my favorite Italian Market for fresh pasta, sauces and other delicious things.)

Our mission? Pick up items to create a belated birthday dinner for my grandfather, and some other yummies to enjoy throughout the week.

Want to see what we put together for the dinner? Well, here you go.

Yummy right?
Yummy right?

Hope you enjoyed our day as much as we did.
