Today we attended an amazing cooking class @ Sur la Table where we learned about making preserves with Chef Lane Kurlyo.

Making preserves, or canning for that matter was brand new for me and this class couldn’t have been more fun. Since I’m going to share the bulk of the pictures (and the recipes) from our class on my foodie blog in a few weeks, I thought I’d give my readers on theavidpen a little preview.

After signing up for another exciting class (Spectacular Summer Brunch) we headed over to Birkdale Village for  a little lunch @ Red Rocks Cafe.
