Stand-Ups | The Needlework Finisher

Each year in December, The Needlework Finisher (aka my mum) and I put together a book of her Needlework Finishing. This year we did a book featuring her finishing of Stand-Ups.

We divided up the book by seasons beginning with Spring and ending with Winter and also included a Miscellaneous section. Each new season began with an intro page…

Spring...
Spring…

We kept our backgrounds consistent with one set background for each season. For spring, as you can see above, we went with polka-dots, because who doesn’t love them? They’re just so fun!

More springtime fun.
More springtime fun.

The Peep, Peep Egg and Bow Egg were finished for shops while the Lily of the Valley was a personal piece both stitched and finished by The Needlework Finisher.

Summer...
Summer…

The Needlework Finisher is the Queen of finishing these Barbara Bergsten Kisses. So showcasing the Sea, Surf and Sand kisses was the obvious choice when welcoming the summer section of the book.

Autumn...
Autumn…

Our Autumn section was absolutely Spook-tack-ular as we featured both the Monster House and Spooky House finished for Needlepoint.com.

Winter...
Winter…

So proud of the Needlework Finisher whose finishing is often featured in Needlepoint.com’s ads in Needlepoint Now. This ad featured the ever popular Toy Store Advent Calendar.

This Eloise standup and Needlepoint Stand-ups of the beloved characters of Downton Abbey are oh, so fun!

Final page.
Final page.

Can these Finishing books be purchased?

It’s a book she created through Shutterfly, so it’s not for resale unfortunately. However you can view all 50 pages on her Pinterest page. Just search for her by Diana Sagmoe.

I love Diana’s finishing and she has finished some things for our shop–Absolutely Needlepoint in Cincinnati. Is she still finishing for shops?

      She finishes with Needlepoint.com exclusively.
