The Book of Love | Movie Review

When the movie starts, Henry (Jason Sudeikis) seems to have everything going for him. His wife is expecting their first child any day now and he’s just made partner at the architectural firm he works at. However, life doesn’t always go as planned. After loosing his wife and child, Henry’s entire world has fallen apart.

While working through his grief, he remembers a promise he made to his wife to help the girl who often collects ‘junk’ around their neighborhood. After his friends do a bit of investigating he finds out where Millie (Maise Williams, Game of Thrones) is living. At first she doesn’t accept Henry’s help, but in finally they begin working on the raft that Millie wants to sail across the ocean in hopes of finding her long lost father.

This movie is both heart wrenching and heart warming at the same time. For as many sad moments, there are just as many happy moments and the bond between Millie and Henry grows as they work through their issues together.
