You’ve Got Mail meets How to Eat a Cupcake in this delightful novel about a talented chef and the food critic who brings down her restaurant—whose chance meeting turns into a delectable romance of mistaken identities. – Amazon
So after getting stuck in traffic more often than not (in case you haven’t read where I’ve mentioned it in previous posts, I’ve been listening to this book via audiobook) I finally finished this one.
I have to say it’s definitely a book for foodies (which I am) and you will hear about lots of delicious food throughout the book, including the dessert mentioned in the title. While it’s not my usual sort of book (I enjoy books that really keep you on the edge of your seat, think suspense, espionage, mystery) I did enjoy this one.
There were a few times where I got seriously frustrated with one of the main characters, and if you give this book a try, you might find yourself dealing with the same emotions. However, all in all I consider it an enjoyable ‘read.’
If you’re into audio books, then you’ll like this narrator, as unlike some of the monotone readers out there, she does an excellent job of giving the characters a unique voice.
