The Fearrington | Day 3

December 22nd, 2015

One of these days we’re going to extend our stay during one of our little mini-breaks, but since we had things to do back in Charlotte, we sadly had to leave the Fearrington.

It had already started to rain before we headed over to breakfast. Thankfully, there was a large umbrella in the room complete with Belted Cow, so we were able to stay dry as we walked along the brick path leading to the Fearrington House Restaurant.

We’d already picked out the table that we wanted to sit at the day before. Don’t you just love this unique mirror. I plan on owning one like it someday.

Smoothy anyone?
Smoothie anyone?

Alas, this smoothie was not dairy free, so it was hands off for me. When we stayed at the Fearrington back in May, the smoothies were dairy free so I had the memory of their deliciousness!

Mum and I went for the same thing, the meat however we left behind... Can't do sausage... just can't.
Full breakfast…

After breakfast we headed over to the Garden Room (one of the two relaxing rooms in the courtyard area) armed with tea and hot chocolate to enjoy some relaxing time before check out time @ noon. There is something so relaxing about curling up in front of the fire with a book or your iPad and just have a little me time.

Just relax by the fire.

When the rain let up for awhile, I ventured back out to the fence to see if there was any signs of the Belted cow who went into labor the previous day. While I didn’t see her, I did capture a few of the Belties who call The Fearrington home.

We were definitely sad to leave, but we look forward to when we can return to the Fearrington again.

So glad you got this time away over Christmas break! Did you steal one of those umbrellas? I would take one. 🙂

I was tempted to, but I didn’t. The umbrella is so large you’d probably be able to fit three people under it! ~ Christa
