It’s time for a post on the latest Korean Drama’s I’ve finished, am currently watching, and the upcoming dramas on my ‘to watch’ list…
The Thorn Birds – talk about melodrama! I felt bad for not being able to finish Joo Sang Wook’s latest drama (Masked Prosecutor) so I went back and watched one of his previous dramas that I hadn’t seen yet. Wow. So glad I decided to watch this one. Very dramatic, and at times you want to shake a few of the characters back into reality, but all in all a very good drama.
Warm & Cozy – while this drama from the Hong Sisters was not quite on par with The Master’s Sun, I loved the light heartedness that was interspersed between the more tragic moments. Very good ending for everyone, and definitely a drama I’d recommend.
My Love Eun Dong – this drama has been seriously heart wrenching from the very beginning. The two main characters love spans 20 years. They first met as children in 1995 then after 10 years of separation reconnected in 2005, only to be torn apart again. In 2015, Eun-Ho decides to write a book about his long lost love in hopes of finding her again.
Mask – I absolutely love this drama, especially now that they’ve allowed the main female character to show the inner strength that she’s always had but has kept hidden for so long because of fear and uncertainty. I really hope that good wins in the end!
Hello, Monster aka I Remember You – I love this drama starring Seo In Juk and Jang Nara (Fated to Love You.) It has a Sherlock Holmes feel to it because of Seo In Juk’s characters genius profiling and deductive skills, but it still stands out all on it’s own. I can hardly wait for each and every upcoming episode.
Hide Identity – You have to be on your toes with this fast paced drama, but it’s a thrilling ride. You’ll be gripping your seat just waiting to see what is going to happen next, and I’m glad to have a chance to see Kim Beom in a drama. (I’ve previously seen in him in the movie Fly High/Flight Bae Soo Bin.
Recommended: If you are looking for another drama starring Kim Beom, check out Padam, Padam. It’s currently on my to watch list.
My Beautiful My Bride – This drama is currently airing, but my limit for how many drama’s I watch at once it six. The drama centers around Do-Hyeong who will stop at nothing to find his fiancé after she disappears.
Last – I haven’t seen Yoon Kye-Sang in a drama since Beyond the Clouds and The Greatest Love, so I’m looking forward to this one very much. Like Hide Identity, if the trailers are any indication, this drama is going to be both fast paced and seriously intense.
