Vintage Button Necklace | Darby Smart

So, this was actually the first project that I ever purchased through Darby Smart, but since I was one jumping short, and the last half of the year is always more hectic than the first… I was significantly delayed.

Step 1 | Plan out your design. I was going for two different looks. One more vintage, another a bit more modern.

Look #1: More Vintage with Cameo.

Look #2 A bit more modern, but still classic.

Step 2 | Glue the buttons to the felt.

Note: Make sure you are in a well ventilated area because the glue is extremely strong.

Step 3 | After allowing the glue plenty of time to dry, cut around your design. Make sure to leave tabs to put your jump rings through.

Step 4 | Cut chain to desired length and thread through the loop. (You may want to do this differently, I was going for a double chain look.)

Step 5 | Attach jump ring at one end of chain, and attach other jump ring and lobster clasp to other side of chain.
