ZimSculpt comes to Daniel Stowe…

This past Saturday we attended the Mother’s Day Weekend event @ Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens… but first we stopped over in RiverGate @ The Wine Shop for a little lunch.

Now for a bit about ZimSculpt. These amazing sculptures by various Zimbabwean artists will be on display through July 12th, so if you live in the area and haven’t been yet, I highly recommend it. (The sooner the better as the temperatures are on the rise.)

There are more than 100 sculptures throughout the garden and most of the stone used to create these works of art are mined by hand.

I’ll show off some of the sculptures that I featured on my Instagram feed along with a few more.

I really like art that has swirls and we found quite a lot of that.

I walked into this lovely meadow where they haven't expanded the gardens into yet... It was nice to get away from the crowd and have a little peace.

Definitely some cool pieces. But being a wildflower girl, I have to admit my favorite pic was of the purple flowers in the meadow. 🙂
