Each season I like to add new pieces (and get rid of pieces I haven’t worn in years) to my wardrobe. It helps put a little ‘spring’ in your step to know that you’re getting to wear something brand new that no one has seen you in before and a wardrobe update is always a good idea as the fashions change from year to year. While I don’t go with every trend that goes around, I like to have some current pieces to mix in with my classics.
My first 4 wardrobe additions for the spring season all came from Loft. I used to shop exclusively at Loft (with a few pieces from Ann Taylor) when I first started working full time. I work in the corporate offices and although we have a relaxed dress code I still like to wear plenty of dresses in between the more relaxed (but still stylish) days when I wear jeans.
This Floral Tie Back Mixed Media Sweater was one of the first things that caught my eye when I was looking through new arrivals. I’d been looking for a pink sweater and the floral detail at the back (while unlike anything currently in my closet) intrigued me. It can be paired with white or neutral pants and heels to dress it up, or jeans and ballet flats for a more relaxed look.
Next up is this dreamy Petite Striped Bell Cuff Top. If you’ve reading this blog for awhile, you’ll know that I love sleeve details and these sleeves are just amazing. Pair it with navy or white pants, sandals or ballet flats, a little statement jewelry for a little pop and you’re good to go. (Plus its the perfect top to bring for your upcoming spring/summer vacations)
Adding a few new dresses is always part of my wardrobe revamps. I’ve always loved to wear dresses, and these next two dresses have given me an excuse to indulge in another thing I love buy (shoes)!
This Shoulder Button Flare Dress can be paired with a pair of wedges or pumps depending on the look you’re going for, and with the button details you can get away with wearing simple jewelry (or perhaps sub in a neckerchief for a little flare)! It’s currently only has one size left online, but you might have luck in store.
Last of all is this Floral Textured Henley Dress. While I can’t always get away with prints as they can overwhelm me a bit, I knew when I saw the dress that color scheme would most likely work in my favor. To add a little detail, bring in a gold or blush belt and keep your handbag neutral with a little scarf tied around it if you feel you need it! (While this dress is out of stock, they have a blouse with the same print that you can get here).
