Procuring the right facial cleansing brush has been on my skin care agenda for years, and I’m so happy to have finally found the right one. Since I have sensitive skin, finding one that had brush heads especially for sensitive skin was of paramount importance. While I’ve enjoyed clear skin for most of my life, I’ve been dealing with breakouts, most likely stress but annoying all the same, so I knew that getting daily cleansing system was a necessity.
I first found out about this particular facial cleansing system from one of my fellow bloggers Mara of M Loves M. The moment Mara mentioned that they had brush heads that are specifically for those of us with sensitive skin I was on board.
There are three brush heads in total with this system and here’s a few details about them before I get into my reasons why you should be using a facial brush.
Daily Cleansing Brush – this brush head has ultra-soft bristles and can be used every day to keep your complexion looking it’s absolute best.
Exfoliating Brush – firmer bristles that can used 2-3 times week for a deeper clean. I will admit that I haven’t used this one yet, but I do plan to test it out on an evening where I’m not going into work the next day.
Silicone Brush – gentle bristles for daily use (and the box specifically mentions the fact that this brush is great for those with skin sensitivity.)
As far as cleansers that I like to use with this facial cleansing system I’ve tried both the Olay Gentle Clean Foaming Cleanser and the Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser Mousse. While I enjoy both I find myself reaching for the Clinique cleanser the most because it works up into such a nice lather but both are good options.
4 Reasons Why You Should Be Using a Facial Brush
Removes Dead Skin Cells
I don’t know about you, but I not only have dry skin, but I sometimes have particular tenacious dead skin cells on areas of my face and neck. Before beginning any skin care routine, its important to start with a fresh clean face, because if your face still has impurities the serum and moisturizer you apply won’t be working as well as they should be.
What I like about the Vanity Planet Cleansing Brush is that it comes with three different brush heads, including one specifically for the most sensitive skin.
Whether you only get breakouts a certain time of the month, or your skin is breakout more than usual, using a facial cleansing brush can get into the layers of your skin that you can when you use traditional cleansing wipes or soap/water.
Before I started using the Variety Planet Ultimate Skin Spa Cleansing Brush I had been noticing that my skin was getting more irritated than usual, especially after I’d tried out a certain skin care product that will continue to go un-named.
Since I started using the cleansing brush, my face has been noticeably clearer.
As we age skin loses collagen and starts to show fine lines that weren’t there when we were in our twenties. It’s a proven fact that a good skin care routine can help boost collagen so using a cleansing brush after you’ve removed your makeup and using a facial roller before bed is a good routine to get in after you hit 3-0.
Perfect for Sensitive Skin
Not all cleansing brushes are ideal for those of us with sensitive skin, but all of the brushes included with the Vanity Planet Facial Cleansing System were soft against my skin and didn’t irritate it like brushes I’ve used in the past.
