If I had to pick my favorite skin care products they would be masks. Whether they are wash off, overnight, or my ultimate favorite, sheet masks, it’s my favorite way to unwind and give my skin a little TLC in the process.
Over the past year I’ve been getting more ‘adventurous’ when it comes to trying out new skin care brands (well new to me) and most recently I decided to try out a few masks from a brand that I’m sure all of you are familiar with, Neutrogena.
From the moment I started scrolling through the different masks options I already knew wanted masks that would hydrate and brighten, the two qualities that always look for in the masks I buy. Plus, all of Neutrogena’s masks are at excellent price points which means you don’t have to feel guilty if you want use sheet masks more than once a week.
I tried my first product from Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line about a month ago, and I was very impressed, so I decided to try out a few of their other products. The Hydro Boost Hydrating Mask works to deeply hydrate your skin and leaves your skin feeling supple and hydrated. What’s not to love about that?
Getting into the habit of using a brightening of using a brightening mask is always a good thing to start once you enter your 30’s. No matter how much we try to keep our skin moisturized and glowing everyday stresses can leave your skin looking and feeling dull. What I love about the Radiance Boost Brightening Mask is that it not only brightens your skin and boosts radiance, it also smooths your skins texture. I don’t know about you, but I hate it when I’m cleansing my face and I can feel those little imperfections that can’t necessarily be seen but are no less annoying.
In addition to the sheet masks, I picked up one of Neutrogena’s wash off masks, Deep Clean/Purifying which I like to use when I feel like my skin is getting clogged by the day-to-day use of any makeup (mostly concealer and occasionally CC or BB Cream) and any exposure to environmental toxins. The wash-off clay mask is made with mineral clay and removes dirt and oil to leave your skin looking healthy.
I used this mask after trying out a new skincare product (not from Neutrogena) that caused my face to breakout which something that rarely happens. This mask not only removed all of the oils from the product that were irritating my skin, it also had my skin looking noticeably better by the next day.
I also tried out the Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Mask that you apply and leave on overnight. Up until now I’d never tried out any overnight masks, but I’ve loved the other products from Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line, so I thought why not give it a try?
My skin definitely felt hydrated when I woke up the next morning, making this gel mask a keeper.
