Of all of the bloggers coming out with fashion collections, the one I looked forward to the most was from Gal Meets Glam. I’ve been following Julia Engel’s blog and Instagram feed for years, so when she announced she would be starting her own fashion brand I couldn’t have been more excited to see the dresses she would create.
What makes her dresses even more special, is each of them is named after a woman who has played a important role in Julia’s life. She even named one of her earlier dresses after her mother Judith, which I find especially touching.
While I haven’t decided on my first Gal Meets Glam Collection purchase yet (still hoping that she will be rolling out a petite collection!) here are 5 dresses from her May Collection that are on the top of my wish list.
Caroline | $138
Every dress should be twirl worthy, and the Caroline definitely falls into that category. It’s a linen blend which is perfect for warmer Spring & Summer days, and is available in three color options. (I’m partial to the mint and lavender, but it also comes in a neutral cream.)
Annie | $148
This dress is available in the blush via the Gal Meets Glam Collection website, and also in Milk and Navy via Nordstrom. Since I’m trying to steer clear of buying anymore navy dresses (I could go more than a week with just navy… what can I say Navy is my Black!) I definitely love this dress in blush (as a lover of all things pink). Plus, it’s just so versatile. You can pair it with ballet flats/sandals and a tote if you’re planning to go casual, or grab your favorite Kate Spade bag and pair of heels (and pearls) for a more dressy look.
Penelope | $250
There is literally nothing that you won’t love about this dress. It’s so delicate with its baby bud embroidery and the perfect dress for those of us who love feminine details. I would definitely suggest wearing this one to a dinner out with your significant other. So romantic.
Abigail | $158
If you adore florals, then you will just love the Abigail dress. It features sunny yellow flowers on a white background and is the perfect sundress to wear to your next lunch with friends or errands around town. Plus I love the cutout/tie detail on the back of the dress, for an extra touch of fun!
The second half of her May collection was released on Friday, and I already can’t wait to see what Julia has in store for us with her July collection (which she shot in London!!!)
