Some of the best ones outfits are ones that you create right as you’re getting ready in the morning. The look I’m sharing about today started off with a pair of shoes (as it often does in my case). I have the cutest pair of cognac flats that buckle around the ankle from Seychelles that are currently available via Garnet Hill! I picked up by pair from LOFT last year and they are the perfect color for fall, and so comfortable no matter how long you’re on your feet. I’ve worn them for errands and for walks around the pond next to my office building were we took the photos for this post.
Next came my favorite pair of American Eagle jeans (as I’m sure you’ll recall that’s where I pick up all my jeans because they fit so well and come in Short which is ideal for my 5’3″.) After going between a few different sweaters I settled on one that I’d picked up from one of our local boutiques, Broadcloth, also from last fall. I usually layer a tank under it, but since it was going to be on the chilly side (which is ideal sweater weather) I knew that a tank wasn’t going to cut it.
That’s when I thought about a recent Stitchfix purchase. I found the Arnold Three Quarter Sleeve Raglan Knit Top from Market & Spruce a few weeks ago under the outfit option in my Shop. I can’t even get into how much I love that you can now shop different daily looks based on your personal style profile. If you’re new to Stitchfix they have a wide variety of brands and price points and you’ll see well known brands such as Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Cupcakes & Cashmere and more. After you sign up be sure to fill out your style profile which will help your stylist when you schedule fixes, it will also help the system know which looks to suggest in your Shop each day. I also make a point to take the daily quizzes on New Arrivals and Style Shuffles as this is the easiest way to insure that the pieces will show up in your daily looks via the Shop.
Besides picking up a few new pieces here and there to revamp my fall/winter wardrobe (spring/summer clothes are by far my favorite) and I’ve also been replacing a lot of my most well loved chunky cardigans and sweaters and I just love how easy they’ve made it for me to find exactly what I’m looking for. Stay tuned for more pieces I’ve found through Stitchfix coming to the blog soon.
For the final piece of my look I added one of my favorite layering necklaces that I’ve had for years from LOFT. I primarily wear it during the summer months, but with this traditional look it just worked! You could also pair the look with a long locket like some of my favorites Keynote Lockets from Spartina 449.
