Charlotte’s food scene is heating up, and I’m enjoying seeing what the new and established restaurants around the city have to offer. In this post I’m sharing about some of the best pizza places in Charlotte.
We tried out this amazing pizzeria in Charlotte’s Midtown in early July and we headed back again before the month was out to try one of their pizzas. It was literally one of the most amazing pizza’s that I’ve ever had, and I highly recommend either going to Omaggio and dining in or ordering one of their pizzas’s to-go.
What I get on my pie… I started with the Marinara Pizza (which has marinara, garlic, fresh parsley and EVOO) then I topped it with cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, housemade meatballs and spinach.
A more recent edition to the Rivergate shopping area that’s just a short 5-10 minute (depending on traffic) ride from where I live, you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff the moment you walk through the front door. I love the fact that I can get my pizza with vegan cheese, and that no matter how many toppings the price stays the same. You can order online, or order in store, but rest assured your pizza will be ready in record time.
What I get on my pie… Canadian Bacon, Mild Sausage, Spinach, Olives and Vegan Cheese with a sprinkle of rosemary to finish.
If you’re in Southend, you’ll want to check out this one. Based out of Irvine, California, this pizzeria arrived on the scene last year and has been drawing the crowds ever since. You’re pizza will be ready for you in 180 seconds, and with the selection of ingredients, you’ll have yourself a serious piece of pie.
What I get on my pie… Red Sauce, Chèvre, Mushrooms, Spinach, Tomatoes and Chicken. (But their Meatballs are also seriously delish!)
Pizza Places on my list to try next…
- Your Pie (recently opened and located on South Blvd.)
- Wolfgang Puck Kitchen & Bar (this one has been around for a while and is located in the South Park area.)
PS. If you’re a local and have a pizza place that’s your absolute favorite, leave me a comment below.
