During the Fall season we always like to take a little mini break to get a glimpse of some Fall color and this November we decided to check out Hotel Domestique. Located about 30 minutes outside of Greenville, South Carolina Hotel Domestique is a thirteen bedroom hotel inspired by the travels of cyclist George Hincapie. It a popular retreat amongst cycling enthusiast and Patrick Dempsy (aka Mc Dreamy) recently hosted a cycling event with them in October.
I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures of unique chandeliers during our travels, and just had to capture this chandelier that is intwined with grape vines.
One of the things that I enjoyed about staying a smaller hotel was that it had a more homey feel to it and you felt more like you were a guest in someones home versus how overwhelming some larger hotels can feel.
You can just imagine how nice it would be to be curled up in the throw with the fireplace on and snow falling outside.
During your stay guests on both floors of the hotel have guest pantries where they can enjoy bottled water, sodas and snacks that are available throughout the day. Our ice maker was on the fritz during our stay but I just popped downstairs to the first floor snack room for ice when we needed some. Nothing wrong with a little exercise.
