With many of us working from home either full time or on and off throughout 2020 and 2021, I’m sure most of you have come to realization that staying in your robe and pajamas all day can only be fun for so long. Some of you have been going for the blazer on top, yoga pants on bottom look for your Zoom meetings. One thing I’ve found is that getting dressed from head to toe each morning regardless of whether I have a scheduled Zoom (or Teams) meeting, leads to a much more productive day.
For this particular work from home look I went with the cozy chic vibe that I’ve been loving so much lately. I picked up this Pointelle yoke sweater from Ann Taylor over the holiday season and I’ve been looking for an opportunity finally wear it. What I love about the design of the sweater is it lends itself to both dressing up up (think your favorite pair of grey slacks and pumps) to pairing it with your favorite pair of jeans and ballet flats.
As for accessories you don’t necessarily have to wear a necklace with this one, the design speaks for itself, but a pair of statement earrings (or in my case French twist huggies), and a few of your favorite rings are always a good idea.
Now let’s talk about shoes… I couldn’t resist showing a close up of these ballet flats from Margaux. For those of you who have been following along with me on Instagram, you’ll already know that I recently became a brand ambassador for one of my favorite shoe brands, Margaux. I also shared a Casual Friday look here on the blog last week featuring my go-to pair of heels.
There are three different styles of ballet flats available from Margaux: The Classic, The Demi and The Pointe. I went for The Classic because I was looking for a neutral color (I went with Natural in my usual size 6 US and 36 EU in Narrow) and I couldn’t be happier. The plush padding for added comfort, the shoe will mold to your foot with continued wear and features a Italian suede upper and leather lining.
