Florals in the Bedroom. While there are always so many lovely blooms around as we head into spring. (I saw the most gorgeous baby pink hydrangeas at the grocery store over the weekend). Sometimes it’s nice to have a faux option, and keep the real flowers elsewhere in the house.
They have come so far with faux flowers these days, to the point where you actually question if they’re real or not after you’ve picked them up and when I was doing my ‘support local’ over the weekend, I popped into one of my favorite little boutiques Crossings on Main.
The shop is absolutely bursting with all things spring, and I honestly wasn’t even planning on putting together a faux arrangement when I stopped in. It all started with a Vietri vase. It was the most gorgeous vase I’d ever seen, and another added plus it was made in Italy. Love at first sight!
Vase in hand, I searched through the store for the perfect florals to add while I imagined how perfectly it would look on one of my nightstands. While I considered some of the beautiful peonies in the perfect shades of blush, I saw the tulip collection in a variety of colors.
Since my room features mostly pinks and white, I decided to go with a mostly pink tulips and threw in a few white ones into the bouquet. I didn’t have to worry about filler for the vase, since I’d just so happened to pick up a bag of decorative glass gems (on a whim) filled with a variety of pink, white and iridescent stones the weekend before. (Don’t you just love how things work out like that?)
