Hello, darlings and welcome to the second post all about summer time drinks. This time I’m sharing not one but two sparkling lemonades that we recently discovered. While I definitely enjoy coming up with my own combinations of ingredients for our summertime drinks, this time around I decided to go the easy route (using pre-made drinks) and adding a touch of ‘glam’ by creating our own ice cubes and adding a sprig of fresh lemon thyme from our herb garden.
We always love finding unique produce and these Pink Lemonade Blueberries we found at Fresh Market come from Family Tree Farms out of California. While they taste like regular blueberries — except for the fact we didn’t find any tart ones, they really add a nice color to the ice cubes.
While you can make the ice cubes the day you plan to enjoy you drinks, we like to make ours the night before. We also make our ice cubes with filtered (or bottled) water for a more refreshing (and better tasting) ice cube.
Whole Foods Organic Lemon Thyme Italian Soda
We’ve been fans of Whole Foods Italian Sodas for years now, but during a regular grocery run (to pick up other things for future baking projects) we just happened to see this flavor on an end cap, and knew we had to give it a try.
I will say that this one is an acquired taste due to the strong thyme flavor, but if you enjoy a more robust drink, this one is definitely for you!
This was our first time trying the Blood Orange Lemonade by Rieme (available at Fresh Market). They had Pink Lemonade, Pomegranate as well, so if blood orange isn’t a flavor that you tend to go for, you have options!
What are some of your favorite ways to add a touch of ‘glam’ to your summertime drinks?
