The summertime is the season of stripes for me, and in my opinion, there’s no such thing as too many striped dresses or too much navy. One thing I’ve been doing lately is styling some of last year’s outfits in different ways by adding new pieces to change up the look. This dress is one of my newest pieces that I added to my wardrobe a few months back to replace a well-loved piece. Replacing well-loved pieces is essential to keep your wardrobe fresh. While I tend to replace my dresses with a new piece with a similar silhouette, I love the fitted bodice of the dress and the long flowing (almost maxi length) shirt on this dress.
To tie in my straw bag, I went with one of my favorite belts from Banana Republic Factory that I found last year. I’ve had quite a few opportunities to style it both in the spring and summer seasons, and it really ties everything together with this look.
I kept my jewelry minimal, with a locket, and a pair of sunnies. The yellow cardigan is another new piece I picked up this season, while my shoes from Sarah Flint, a New York-based, female-founded shoe brand that I share about often, are a find from last year.
About The Mirjana
The Mirjana comes in several colorways, but I went with the gold napa Mirjana for its versatility. During the spring and summer months, having a pair of gold sandals is essential, and I’ve been wearing the sandals from Sarah Flint for years. They’re comfortable, and come in a variety of styles from the more ‘formal’ perfect block sandal, to the Grear with its ties that never fall down and now the Mirjana (named after one of my fellow brand ambassadors). Sizing
I went with my usual size, 36EU/6US, and the shoes fit just right. They have a bit of a stretch in the band to make them more comfortable when you’re planning on doing quite a bit of walking.
