The moment I saw this Seersucker dress by 1901 from Nordstrom’s I knew I had to have it. We’d just had another hot and humid day during our vacation in Charleston, and all I could think about was dresses in cool fabrics. Seersucker is a very popular fabric for summer, especially during the summer months and I was in love with the sleeveless A-line silhouette of this dress.
The neckline is perfect for me even though I usually wear petite sizes (I opted for an XS in this one and since it’s sleeveless I didn’t have to worry about the sleeves being to long which is something I typically run into when petite sizing isn’t available). A delicate necklace is the perfect thing to pair with this dress to give it an extra touch of femininity and sophistication. Feeling confident in what you’re wearing, and dressing for yourself instead of others and wearing a comfortable pair of shoes are some of the most important things that help me #walklikeawoman.
While the dress itself is no longer available, and I can definitely understand why! I will link some of my other top selections for a similar summertime look.
1901 Surplice Seersucker Dress (Nordstrom, sold out, similar here and here) // Cream Packable Wide Bow Sunhat (Tuckernuck) // Perfect Block Sandal in Gold Nappa (Sarah Flint)
I paired my seersucker dress with my favorite gold sandals of the summer season, the Perfect Block Sandal by Sarah Flint. These shoes have been on constant rotation both because of their comfortable and classic design whether you’re entertaining guests, dining outdoors at one of your favorite restaurants or if like me, you enjoy dressing up to head into the office. With no need to worry about rubbing blisters on your feet (which has been my experience in ever other pair of heeled shoes that I’ve ever worn) I feel like I can truly #walklikeawoman with confidence that not only will my feet be happy at the end of the day, but I’m also wearing a pair of shoes that I’m proud to have in my shoe collection.
