When the leaves start changing and the temperatures start falling my style becomes all about keeping things cozy. Whether I’m pairing wraps like this one from my favorite local boutique (Crossings on Main) with my outfit, wearing chunky sweaters paired with jeans, or cowl neck sweater dresses, dressing up or keeping things casual, my fall style will always be COZY.
Last week was a busy one, that’s for certain, between the birth of my niece where we spent a few days in Greenville to the Thanksgiving holiday. On Thanksgiving instead of staying indoors all day binge watching a few of my favorite shows, I took the opportunity to head out to a few of my favorite local spots in search of leaves before they were all gone for the season. Thankfully it was not only a sunny day but I also found one of the most brilliantly red trees on the walking trail near our neighborhood.
Can you believe how ruby read those leaves are? I wish we could have transplanted this tree in our yard. We do have plenty of fall color in our neighborhood during this time of year, but nothing was quite so brilliant as this particular tree. It also proved to be quite a popular tree among others from our area, who took turns taking Thanksgiving family pictures in front of it.
My outfit for the holiday was a mixture of new and older pieces. My wrap by Charlie Paige (from Crossings on Main) was the most recent addition to my look. I love it when you make an unexpected find that just ties the whole outfit together. It was exactly what I’d been looking for and no matter how chilly it gets outside (or indoors at the office) this wrap will keep you nice and toasty warm.
My cowl neck sweater dress was also a recent find from LOFT and it went perfectly with the Ryder Satchel I picked from Fossil last year. The Sole Society boots were from last year and I’m getting a lot more wear out of them this year. Plus, they are beyond comfortable no matter how long you’re on your feet. I’ve linked a similar pair here.
