So, I haven’t worn pumps into the office in years, mostly for years I would be coming home everyday with aching feet and blisters on my heels, if that wasn’t reason enough, it was impossible to find a pair of pumps that either didn’t look to hold for me, or that were comfortable enough for everyday wear.
I first heard about the female owned brand, Margaux a few years back through a few of my fellow bloggers. I’m sure you’ve seen so posts on Instagram where influencers have styled one of their signature ballet flats (The Classic, The Demi, The Pointe) and since I love to research, if they gave a Masters in Google I would have one by now, I looked up to co-founders of the brand. Alexa Buckley and Sarah Pierson co-founded Margaux in 2015 with the mission to create beautiful crafted shoes with a classic style that would meet the demands of the modern woman. They also redefined the ways shoes are sized and sold, offering their shoes in three widths: narrow, medium, wide.
Since I have a narrow heel, it’s been hard finding a pair of pumps that don’t slip off my heel every time I walk. The same applies to ballet flats, I’ve tried both the high and low price range. From the moment I put on my first pair of black suede pumps I had a true Cinderella moment. They fit perfectly, and one of the many things I love about them is they will mold to your foot as you wear them.
About The Heel
The Heel is made with a structured, supportive fit that molds to your foot as you continue to wear it. The shoe is made with an Italian suede upper and leather lining, features plush foam padding for extra comfort and has a 2.5-inch block heel that adds even more comfort and stability.
Sizing
As far as fit I found that my normal size (6 US/36 EU) in Narrow fit true to size but it’s worth asking one of the shoe experts that are available in the chat box (or scheduling a virtual appointment) to make sure you’re ordering the correct size for you. Also, with free shipping and returns you don’t have to worry about it if the fit isn’t perfect, just sent them back and order another size!
For my causal meets chic look, I opted for another favorite of mine (in fact I love it so much I own it in two colors) the WAYF Swiss Dot Long Sleeve Top in Black which is currently 55% off at Nordstrom. It’s also available in cream, but there are just a few sizes left in both colors so I would run and not walk when it comes to picking up this top. To finish off my look I paired it with my favorite pair of skinny jeans, and this pearl necklace by Spartina 449.
