You think you’ve seen it all… take another look.
This film reunites the 3 of the horsemen with another new addition Lula (Lizzy Caplan.) After they are forced to flee their latest show, they find themselves mysterious transported to Macau, China. Their troubles don’t end their as they are ‘captured’ by tech wizard Walter Mabry (played by Daniel Radcliffe.)
He promises to give them normal lives again if they steal a chip that can control the world’s computers.
Meanwhile Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) who blames Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) for his father’s untimely death, hatches a revenge plot of his own.
Like the first film, just when you think you’ve got things figured out, you don’t. Misdirection is the order of the game, when you’re looking one way, something else is going on at the same time. That’s the genius of it all.
The only issue I had was Thaddeus Bradley’s character. He seemed so utterly unredeemable, so how the character ended up as he did was a little hard to get my head around.
