Summer is definitely the time to start going with bolder looks both in your wardrobe and with your beauty routine. Since I haven’t done a beauty edit in a while as I’ve trying to only stick to picking up the items I need instead of every new beauty product that comes out, it was time to add a few new items to my beauty bag (who are we kidding, beauty drawer.)
Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette | Anastasia Beverly Hills
I have been hearing good things about this brand for years now, but it was this Soft Glam Eye Shadow that caught my eye from the moment I saw it on Sephora. The colors included in the palette will easily take you from everyday to night and with fourteen shades including both mattes and shimmers you’ll be able to play with your look to get just the color variation you’re looking for.
The color payoff in this shadow palette is impressive, so be sure to go light at first if you’re going for a more natural look, and just add another layer if you want to go glam.
Monsieur Big | Lancôme
As most beauty lovers know, you need to throw out your mascara every 2-3 months, so it’s alway a good idea to re-order your favorite mascara when you notice that you’re not getting much mascara on your applicator, or it’s starting to get dry and clumpy.
While I have a couple of go-to mascara’s that I’ve shared about in the past, I recently had the chance to try out Lancôme’s Monsieur Big Mascara thanks to the VIB points I’d accrued over on Sephora. The French beauty brand has been creating luxury perfumes and cosmetic since 1935, and this is one of the few products that I’ve had the opportunity to try.
What I love about the Monsieur Big Mascara is it separates, curls and adds length to your lashes without any of the clumping that you can get from certain volumizing mascaras. I will definitely keep this mascara in rotation.
Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine | Neutrogena
I’ve recently hopped on the Neutrogena bandwagon after seeing quite a few product recommendations over on my favorite social media outlet, Instagram. (Nicole Kidman is quite the fan!)
So I decided to try out a few of their beauty items, because I needed a fresh gloss for summer to pop under my favorite nude lipsticks as well as quite a few of their mask options that I will share with you all very soon!
While the applicator for this lip shine was a big of a struggle (the applicator is a little awkward) I love how hydrated my lips look after applying the product. While it comes in a variety of shades, I picked it up in Pink Sorbet.
Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer | Neutrogena
I have been looking for a new concealer (for the under eye area) for a while now. Up until recently I’d been using CC Cream and BB Cream, but they were so drying and were creating fine lines that you ordinarily wouldn’t see.
The Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer has a hydrating core that mixes with the concealer as you apply it. Just a swipe under either eye and a little blending in, and not only are those pesky dark circles banished, but my skin looks hydrated and line free.
Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask | Glow Recipe
All of the watermelon products from Glow Recipe seem to fly off the virtual shelves the moment they are re-stocked, so I felt very lucky to snag one of their Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Masks which sold out the moment they launched. I picked up mine via Sephora who still has some in stock.
The mask has a light watermelon scent, and calms and soothe your skin. While these are qualities that I look for in the sheet masks that I use year round, this mask is the perfect option to cool your face down after spending some time out in the Summer heat. I’ll definitely purchase this mask again!
