When we start to get into June it’s time to start thinking about escaping for a mini break, and as a fashion lover I like to ‘debut’ a new item or two when I go on vacation. This season we’re going to the mountains instead of the coast, which I’m sure some might find odd, but when you live in the South, the mountains are quite a popular destination when it comes to beating the summer heat.
For this post, I thought I’d share some selections from Anthropologie that I feel would make excellent additions to those thinking about making a weekend getaway.
Jumpsuits are more in fashion that ever, especially during the warmer months, and this poplin wrap jumpsuit would be the perfect addition to your summer vacation wardrobe. It can be paired with either flat sandals, or heels if you’re looking for a bit of height, and your favorite straw bag.
This Palm Printed Open Shoulder Romper is the perfect beach day outfit, and could also work as a cover up for when you’re poolside. I also love this Charlie Strapless Romper below with the sash detail at the waist.
This Sara One-Shoulder Top is a bit on the pricey side for me when it comes to tops, but I had to share it because it’s perfect for a relaxed look with a little fun thanks to the ruffled accents and the top.
I just love the pattern on the skirt of this Ina Halter Dress. Plus this dress is both white and navy, two of my favorite colors to go with during the summer. I often say there’s no such thing as too much navy in your closet.
If your outing calls for a summer look that’s more ‘formal’ you can dress this one up with statement jewelry pieces, that new clutch you have been dying to show off and a pair of heels… or if you’re going for the maxi look, just add a shawl to this floral maxi below, and a pair of sandals…
