Sharing about new skincare discoveries always makes me so happy. Taking care of my skin is one of the ways I decompress at the end of a long week and with everything going on the world its more important than ever to take some time to pamper yourself even if it’s just apply a face mask before bed, or retreating to the sanctuary of your bathtub for an hour on a Sunday night and too get a little ‘me time’ in before your start your week. In today’s post I’m sharing about products from brands both new and familiar to me as well as a skincare tool that I’m looking forward to using on a daily basis.
Pursoma
Moonlit Ritual // After The Class // Renew
Earlier this month I had the chance to chat with brand founder, Shannon Vaughn via Zoom and I have to say there really is something inspiring about getting to talk to a brand founder face to face (or screen to screen). Through our conversation Shannon shared about why she first founded Pursoma, the importance of using only the best ingredients, and the detoxifying benefits of the bathing ritual. Shannon sent along three two of the bath soaks (Moonlit Ritual and After Class) along with one of Pursoma’s body polishes that I’m so excited to try out, Renew.
Moonlit Ritual
If you’re ready to make your evening bath the most relaxing experience ever, Moonlit Ritual is definitely one of the soaks from Pursoma that I’d recommend trying out. Made with French Gray Sea Salt (that is harvested directly from Northern France), powdered Rose Petal (that draws out impurities in your skin) and an infusion of Jasmine, Pink Lotus and Clary Sage to bring a sense of overall calm. This is definitely a soak that will help get rid of the dreaded ‘Sunday scaries’ and get your week started off right.
After Class
After working out muscle tension and soreness are often two of the most frequent complaints no matter how often you exercise. The After Class bath soak (each bag contains one bath treatment) was formulated to help relieve both tension and soreness. Made with Seabed Magnesium and French Grey Sea Salt, this mineral rich treatment eliminates toxins and replenishes the electrolytes which leads to softer skin.
Renew
I’ve used body polishes in the past, so I was very excited to try out the Renew body polish from Pursoma. There are so many benefits to using a body polish including the most obvious one, exfoliating away dull skin to leave your skin looking luminous. Renew is made with Jamaican Coconuts, French Grey Sea Salt, along with Safflower and Jojoba Seed Oil to both nourish and hydrate your skin.
Ilia
Lip Wrap Hydrating Mask
I don’t know about you, but even without wearing a mask all of the time, my lips often need a little extra hydration. The newest launch from Ilia works to gently exfoliate dry, flaky skin with the benefit of adding hydration back into your skin. With continued use you can expect to see a boost in your skins moisture levels and thanks to the benefits of hylaluronic acid your can plump up fine lines lines and leave your lips looking full and supple. (Plus I love the scent which is a blend of chamomile and lavender which helps promote a sense of calm.)
Enough Project aka Enuf Proj
pH Balancing Shampoo in Sweet Peach and pH Balancing Vinegar Treatment
I’ve already shared about Enough Project (aka Enuf Proj) here on the blog when they first released their line of skincare products in the US last year, and now they’e released their first hair products, a pH Balancing Shampoo in Sweet Peach and a pH Balancing Vinegar Treatment that is even safe for use on color treated hair. The combined treatment helps strengthen your scalp’s barrier with the benefits of essential oils and the treatment works with your hairs natural pH to leave your hair with a healthy shine.

MCOMCE
Dry body brush
“I love the body brush. Body brushing for me is really one just one of those things like brushing your teeth. If you brush your teeth everyday you’re going to have clean teeth, so if you body brush everyday you’re going to have soft skin.” — Shannon Vaughn, founder of Pursoma
There are so many benefits to dry brushing including stimulating the lymphatic system and promoting detoxification. Even if you only have five minutes a day to devote to dry brushing you can help with blood flow, rejuvenate your skin and give your skin an overall healthy glow. After all skincare isn’t just about your face, it’s about your entire body as a whole.
Borghese
Advanced Fango Delicato
One of my favorite ways to get myself ready for the week is applying a face mask, and the Advanced Fango Delicato from Borghese is the first mask I’ve tried from the brand, and I have to say I’m definitely a fan. From the delicate spa like scent (from Aloe Vera Gel, Chamomile, Mango Butter and Green Tea Extracts) to the fact that the mask goes on so smoothly and only requires 3-5 minutes of wear before you can rinse. This mask is the perfect (and quick) afternoon or evening pick me up for a Sunday afternoon.
Benefits —
Hydrates & firms dry delicate skin
Repairs dry skin
Helps diminish fine lines
Calms skin & restores suppleness
Protects from environmental damage
Soothes skin and restores moisture balance
Lapcos
Bikini Mask
I’m so excited to try this one out for myself soon. They have a mask for everywhere else, so why not a Bikini mask. The latest mask from Lapcos is made with soothing ingredients like hemp seed and grapefruit and the mask itself is made from 100% cotton, making it the perfect option for those of us who already have sensitive skin anyway. I’m definitely happy about having one less thing to worry about now that I have this mask in my skincare routine.
