Art galleries are the perfect escape from the Summer heat, and there are quite a few shows opening in July along with a few that continue to be on view through the end of the month. The first show is by artist J Louis which is the second show at the Shain Gallery since the artist transitioned from creating animal to figure based pieces.
Also, the Hidell Brooks Gallery is celebrating 20 years, and I’m excited to announce that I will be sharing an interview with Katherine and Rebecca prior to the exhibition right here on The Avid Pen! So be sure to sign up via email or Bloglovin’ to see the post as soon as it goes live.

Hidell Brooks Gallery is celebrating our 20th year anniversary with a group exhibition of new work by gallery artists. We have continued with our tradition of introducing artists to North Carolina along with a strong focus on Southern Contemporary artists. The anniversary exhibition is an excellent opportunity to view works by all of our artists.
