If you’re into skincare, odds are you’ve heard of facial rollers. I’ve read several posts on different rollers and bloggers reviews on their favorites and scrolled through pages of facial rollers by different companies before finding the one I wanted to try out. Skin Gym based out of LA has a roller made from 100% Rose Quartz, versus the more common jade, so that point alone had my interest. (Hello, I LOVE Pink!)
Plus you don’t have worry if you’re not sure exactly how to use a facial roller. They have a helpful list complete with diagrams for all the exercises you’ll need to get you started for the following target areas…
- Forehead
- Nose, lips and chin
- Eyes
- Jawline and neck
Think you don’t have enough time in your day to use a facial roller? It only takes 5-10 minutes a day. Just start with a freshly washed face, apply your favorite moisturizer (or use after your sheet mask of optimal effects) and roll away.
Release Facial Tension
After the end of a long day or week stress can really show on your facial features. Just a few minutes doing various exercises with your facial roller will help ease and release the appearance of facial tension. If you know the areas of your face where you show stress the most, focus on those areas specifically. For me that’s around the eyes and mouth.
Tip: If you want to boost your relaxation just pop your roller in the refrigerator to get it nice and cool before use.
Boost Collagen Naturally
Over exposure to both the sun and a harsh environment can lead to the loss of collagen in our skin and while there are several ways to add collagen back into our bodies from supplements to eating foods rich in collagen, using a facial roller is another natural way of boost the collagen in both your face and neck. So let’s keep wrinkles and sagging skin far away!
Improve Your Skins Elasticity
Age may just be a number, but don’t let your skin tell your age. As we get older our skin starts to lose it’s elasticity, but if you start early working at improving your skin’s elasticity you might be able to keep those tell-tale signs of aging at bay (or perhaps even if reverse them.)
Get rid of toxins and tighten your pores
While most dermatologist will tell you to steer clear of products that promise to tighten your pores, using facial roller on a daily basis as part of your evening beauty routine can not only help rid your skin of toxins that are leading to breakouts and dullness, but it can tighten those pores naturally. While I only deal with the visibility of pores in a few target areas, they are definitely noticeable to me, and having a natural way to help them tighten is definitely something I’m willing to work at.
This is not a sponsored post, I just love using my new facial roller!
