There’s nothing like adding a few new books to your reading list to get you in the mood for Fall. I’m currently in the midst of reading two books Work Party by Create & Cultivate founder Jaclyn Johnson (it’s so inspiring and I’ll be sharing more soon) and Crazy Rich Asians which I’m listening to on audiobook during my work commute. My list includes both books that have been released recently and those that will be released throughout the Fall season.
The Dinner List | Rebecca Serle
Out of all the books on this list, this is definitely the one that I’m looking forward to reading the most. From the moment I read the name ‘Audrey Hepburn’ in the synopsis I was in.
“When Sabrina arrives at her thirtieth birthday dinner she finds at the table not just her best friend, but also three significant people from her past, and well, Audrey Hepburn. As the appetizers are served, wine poured, and dinner table conversation begins, it becomes clear that there’s a reason these six people have been gathered together.” – Goodreads
The Glass Ocean: A Novel | Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig
“From the New York Times bestselling authors of The Forgotten Room comes a captivating historical mystery, infused with romance, that links the lives of three women across a century—two deep in the past, one in the present—to the doomed passenger liner, RMS Lusitania.” – Goodreads
The Clockmakers Daughter: A Novel | Kate Morton
As a fan of Kate Morton’s previous work, I’m looking forward to reading this latest novel.
“In the summer of 1862, a group of young artists led by the passionate and talented Edward Radcliffe descends upon Birchwood Manor on the banks of the Upper Thames. Their plan: to spend a secluded summer month in a haze of inspiration and creativity. But by the time their stay is over, one woman has been shot dead while another has disappeared; a priceless heirloom is missing; and Edward Radcliffe’s life is in ruins.” – Goodreads

Every Breath | Nicholas Sparks
If I’m being honest, I’m still going into this one with the thought, ‘So I wonder whose going to die in this one?’ Here’s hoping I don’t end up broken hearted after reading this one.
“Hope Anderson is at a crossroads. At thirty-six, she’s been dating her boyfriend, an orthopedic surgeon, for six years. With no wedding plans in sight, and her father recently diagnosed with ALS, she decides to use a week at her family’s cottage in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, to ready the house for sale and mull over some difficult decisions about her future.” – Goodreads

The Love Letter | Lucinda Riley
Glamour, Secrets… and mysterious letter. All the elements of a good book.
“1995, London. When Sir James Harrison, one the greatest actors of his generation, passes away at the age of 95 he leaves behind not just a heartbroken family but also a secret so shocking, so devastating that it could rock the English establishment to its core. Joanna Haslam is an ambitious young journalist, assigned to cover the legendary actor’s funeral. The great and the good of the celebrity world are there. But Joanna stumbles on something dark beneath the glamour: the mention of a letter James Harrison has left behind, the contents of which others have been desperate to conceal for over 70 years. As she peels back the veil of lies that has shrouded the secret, she realizes that there are other forces attempting to prevent her from discovering the truth. And they’ll stop at nothing to reach the letter before she does.” – Amazon
