This week has been a real year if you know what I mean. Between it being sick season, along with being a full-time nursing student (don’t even get me started on how the Department of Education is saying that nursing is not a professional degree), and life in general, it has been A LOT to say the very least.

On a positive note, I did start a really good book that I hope to include in this month’s list of book recommendations (it’s the first book I’ve read by Alice Feeney), enjoyed the most AMAZING double chocolate brownie (that’s dairy free) from our local Olive Oil shop that carries all sorts of goodies that are inclusive of those of us with allergies… along with creating my second gift guide of the holiday season.

The painting I’ve featured in today’s post is by an artist I’ve interviewed and long admired. In case you have never had the chance to read the Q&A with the artist, you can go ahead and do so here.

Oh, my word. Ooey Gooey Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls?! (Broma Bakery)

This is for all my fellow Stanley girlies. If you haven’t picked up one of the Love Shack Fancy cups, now is the time to do some Christmas shopping for Y-O-U.

Chicken and Potatoes with a Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce. Yum-my! (Damn Delicious)

One of the evenings last week, I had the chance to watch Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein on Netflix. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly suggest watching this inside look with the director.

Even if you have a set scrub color at work (it’s grey for CMAs where I’m at), you can still embrace your favorite colors on the way in. I love this Fair Isle Knit Scarf or Waffle Scarf in bright pink! (Figs)

Pie Meets Cookie with these Pumpkin Pie Cookies (Curly Girl Kitchen)

My chunky cable knit hat from Mark & Graham came this week. I had it monogrammed with a C and I can’t wait to start wearing it out on colder weekends when I’m not working or inside studying all day.

French Onion Soup Mini Pies. Genius! (Half-Baked Harvest)

I have literally been living in this Boatneck Sweater from LOFT on the weekends. It’s so comfy, and you can easily pair it with jeans or yoga pants. (I’ve done both)

I love a good focaccia recipe, and this Olive and Rosemary Focaccia recipe looks amazing! (Camille Styles)

Get some Thanksgiving Dress inspo. (Carly)

I’m so glad that ankle boots are still a thing. Check out this list of the 24 Best Ankle Boots. (Glamour)
